Can anyone suggest a tall white tulip flowering same time as queen of the night
I planted a mainly white bed, intending to have white tulips interspersed with queen of the night tulips. What I didn't account for was the flowering time and height! White tulip Concerto flowered much too early and a frilled white tulip I have has flowered late like queen of the night but is somewhat shorter. So could anyone recommend a tall or tallish white ( not cream) tulip which is flowering now, at similar time to queen of the night ( which in my garden have been looking great for several weeks now - it's 26 April now)?

I used to have Queen of the Night (gorgeous tulips!) in many pots and I grew them alongside an extremely pale pink variety, whose name eludes me, but which faded to white and had a darker pink edge to the petals.
I know it's not what you asked for, but they looked lovely together - here is a photo of some I cut for the house, in case you are tempted and somebody can name them!
Sorry, their edge was purple, the same shade as Q of the N, not pink!

Hi the lighter one is Shirley. The whole thing will will change to the colour round the edges, very nice.
That was it!! I knew somebody would be along at some point, with a name
Howevere, mine didn't change to the colour around the edges, just went paler if anything!
Ah well i haven't grown them for a long time, forgot.
Me neither. But this has inspired me to start again - those two colours together were just amazing.
Yes, tulips are lovely, especially when clumped together.
Try 'White Triumphator'. Tall, lily-flowered, April to early May flowering. I have grown both, but not in the same bed, but think there was good overlap with 'Q of N.'
I grew 'Blushing Girl', similar to 'Shirley', with my 'Q of N' and 'Attila' and they looked good together.
My Queen of Night are not out yet. They are still in last year's trough with 'Pretty Love' and have all come back looking as good as new!
Just googled White T - glorious!
How long did your Q of the N look good for Buttercup, before needing replacing?
