Too late to plant bulbs?

I bought some tulip bulbs last year and totally forgot to plant them. They've actually started growing from the bulb in the shed. Is it too late to plant them. I don't want them to go to waste.

They will probably still flower this year. Give them a chance. They certainly have no chance in the shed.

No - plant them. They'll just dry out and suffer otherwise. Stick 'em in a pot of some multi purpose compost, water them and put them somewhere sheltered for now. You could give them a liquid feed once they've got some foliage, and they may produce a flower or two. Let them die back naturally, and give them another little liquid feed at that point too   image

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I found some that I'd forgotten a couple of weeks ago, planted them out, they are now showing flower buds. They should be surprisingly fine.
