Growing Brussels sprouts in containers

in Fruit & veg
Has anyone tried growing Brussels sprouts in containers? It seems like there are some difficulties doing it in containers but also some potential upsides like being able to move the plants out of the sun on hot days.

Brussels are long term plants and get very heavy and are very thirsty. I'm not they're the best for container growing/ moving.
Maybe it's not the ideal situation but certainly possible!
We'll, you seem to have convinced yourself
In my experience the major problem affecting Brussels sprouts in the UK winter, apart from pigeons, is wind rock - never experienced sun damage on sprouts.
indeed so Dove. I've never seen a farmer cover his fields because it was sunny.
One wonders why folk ask advice if they're just going to contradict it.
One wonders indeed Hosta
unless they're just trying to draw attention to their website of course .......... perish the thought

OH, I HAVE A MENTAL PICTURE OF ALL THESE POOR AGRICULTURAL WORKERS STAGGERING AROUND WITH BUCKETS OF BRUSSELS SPROUT PLANTS.
MADE MY EVENING.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
Hosta, that's the problem with tall chaps like you being planted in containers of loose compost ... wind-rock
