Can someone plz identify?

Planted a camelia here last year. Pretty sure died but now this is growing in same place. Don't think it's a camelia. Any ideas plz? Thanks.image

    Ahhh now am wondering if it was a peony not a camelia and my memory is off....perhaps. I'll be chuffed if it is a peony. It's very happy there whatever it is!

    If it's going to flower this year there will be flower buds now. Can you see any?

     No image.  That's a shame. Does it usually take a few years?

    It looks quite young. It will be worth waiting for. The best plants are the ones that start slowly and build up image

  • If it's planted too deeply it will struggle to flower BUT I suggest you DONT dig it up ,wait and see if it will  flower as it gets older and bigger.

    Doubt that deep as it's a trough container....will wait and see.
