Junipers

Just planting up around our pond, and I wondered if a ground covering carpet of Juniper would be good to use in an area about 1 metre square.  I believe they are slow growing, we have looked at Blue Pacific, Blue Carpet and Green carpet - all quite dense which is what we want.  Initially I was looking at horizontal cotoneaster but really we do prefer the look of the Juniper.
