Acer

I know that pruning branches off acers is 'a bad thing' if they're not dormant, but does it do any harm to trim off some of the new growth now?

In London. Keen but lazy.

Thanks dhr. Your acers are lovely!

Mine is a good enough shape but there is some new growth that will get in the way. I'll give it a little trim.

I must remember to take a picture now as it's very difficult to know what to prune in the winter when there's no leaves.
