New gardener needs advice!

Hello! Ive recently bought a house with a garden and one of the small trees we have seems to be infected with a disease ( see photos ) and I was hoping one you lovely professionals might be able to identify it and suggest some treatments. First time garden owner so apologies if it's a simple one, looking to learn through people who know what they're doing!

Bad case of Mildew there. That is often a sign of extreme dryness at the roots. You could also thin out some of the branches to allow air to blow through. Give the shrub a really good soaking (gallons and gallons ) Then try a systemic fungicide.
