Feeding bare root roses

A month or so ago bought some bare root roses to go in containers. Planted them up as per the instructions and they are growing very well now. Do I need to feed them this year or do I wait until next spring

feed them this year, just don't go too heavy handed as i'm assuming you planted them with some multi-purpose compost mixed into the soil so there will be some food in there already
