tulip

I bought a pot of 5 of these at local community farm yesterday but fear they will not fare well in our clay soil, so I thought I'd put them in a 'lasagne', I've done a few of these and had success before, but with these tulips being much shorter, I wondered where to plant them I thought i'd plant iris reticulata on top, then daffodil 'the bride' but should I put the tulips under or over these? think they flower around the same time thanks in advance

I wouldn't mix them, these little tulips come from hot dry areas, daffs like something damper. Also, you won't see the tulips for daff leaves
