Moss

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for growing moss? I am looking to cover a brick wall and (if possible) a plastic shed. Any ideas? Thank you.

I've never set out to grow it, but as it likes shady, damp conditions, could you set up a little experiment in a shady corner somewhere - perhaps a few pots or troughs using bits from the garden, or from someone else who has some, to start with?

You could then transplant to where you want it. If it likes the location, it will spread by itself  image

I don't know if it would work on a plastic surface so well, but maybe you could attach something viable that it would grow on. Not sure about that one though...

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
