Is my kale bolting and if so what should I do?

    Yes it has bolted Max.  In my experience, all it is good for now is the compost bin as the leaves go tough and bitter.  Time to sow some more.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Shame - it could've been harvested and enjoyed over the past couple of months ...but as Bob says, time to sow some more now ... always look forward in gardening, never back image

    Actually the flower stalks and heads are just as edible as Broccoli as long as you pick them young.

    Thanks for the info.  Well, at least I'll know for next year :)  I'll enjoy the flower heads/stalks for now and put it down to experience!
