MOSS...Mo Bacter

Looking to buy some Mo Bacter but can only see online stockists, delivery charges expensive!! (as well as the product)

Does anybody know if it is stocked in garden centres etc?

BTW I am in Derbyshire.

Have asked husband as he uses it. He can't recall seeing it in a garden centre. Trouble is it weighs quite a lot hence the delivery charge.Have you any neighbours who might split the cost with you?

Have done some investigating and there is at least one supplier on Amazon who does free postage image

Kitty 2, this is one of those moss killers that supposedly breaks down the moss so you don't have to rake it out.

I used it once about two years ago, didn't seem to make a lot of difference and costs a lot.

Theres a new product that is similar (as far as I can tell) and cheaper - 'safe lawn' or something I think.  No idea if this is any good either.

  • Thanks for your reply AnniD, can only see the one supplier of the 20kg bag and they charge deivery, approx £38.

Generally £28 elswhere online plus delivery, which is around £5.

Hopefully local stockists have the product.

Thanks Andy image  I've only got a small patch so lawn sand does for me.

Maybe use a standard moss killer and invest in a powered scarifier if it's a large area jack.  Could be more cost effective in the long run.

  • Recently applied mo Bacter a week ago and now got numerous Brown patches on my garden.  Is there any reason for this?
