Can this plant survive
Hi,
I'm brand new to this forum! I was wondering if I could get advice and help.
First, I think this plant is a Dracaena (from what was suggested to me). From the photo, could someone confirm if it is?!
This is now my plant, I saw that it was dying and took it to try and revive it. Do you think it can come back? Would anyone have suggestions on how to bring it back? I don't know whether I should cut it back, and if I should, where do I cut it?
The green stem is growing up to 30cm.
When I get it home I'll be putting it into a new pot with fresh soil - should I just leave it at that and hope for the best?!
Thanks

HELLO ROCKDESK. WELCOME TO THE FORUM.
GENERALLY WE DEAL WITH LIVING PLANTS HERE.
THAT MAY WELL HAVE BEEN A DRACAENA IN ITS GLORY DAYS. I THINK, EVEN IF YOU TOOK IT TO BED WITH YOU AT NIGHT AND WHISPERED SWEET NOTHINGS INTO ITS LITTLE CRINKLY BROWN EARS ITS DAYS WOULD BE NUMBERED.
DO YOU FEEL A PARTICULAR ATTCHMENT TO IT?
OR DO YOU JUST LIKE A CHALLENGE?
WHY NOT GO AND BUY YOURSELF A NICE HAPPY GREEN LIVING PLANT AND GIVE IT A GOOD HOME?
ALL THE BEST.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. No attachment at all, but I like a challenge! I found it in my work and said I'd give it one last shot at survival!
I definitely don't need any encouragement to bring plants home, but I'll take your suggestion to buy a living plant and follow it through
Thanks again!
Sadly I agree with Pansy ... that is an ex plant.
Go on, treat yourself ........................ you know you deserve it ...........................

Sorry for the delay, I couldn't access my log on! I have it replanted because I'm a glutton for punishment, but I also had a little look around the local flower shop just in case this one doesn't make it!
I'll update with progress, good or bad!

Gotta love an underdog! Its alive, it wants to live, help it and see!
good luck little fella!...and Rockdesk!
Hi!
So I thought I'd give an update. After maybe 2 weeks nothing was happening so I decided to chop it right back and see what happened.
It seems to have taken it quite well, it's slowly growing again. It's happy enough sitting in the window! I've attached a picture. It's not handsome yet, but it's just a duckling stage!
