    HIMALAYAN HONEYSUCKLE? Leycesteria Formosa?

That looks to me a a lot like Himalayan honeysuckle Leycesteria Formosa, although I don't remember the leaf edges being serrated image

  • Thanks, no wonder it looked naggingly familiar, this grows wild on the local Common. Perhaps I brought back a seed on clothing (or a bird pooped it out...). I do like the flowers I've seen on big ones. Advice seems to be prune hard early spring to get strong new growth and keep small, so I'll take a chance and cut back now as I do need it to stay small, and will hope it flowers this summer ?
