Plant ID please

Just hoping to confirm the plants behind the heather? I think it's a type of Viburnum? - any ideas?

(The one on the left isn't looking too healthy - recently dug it out and the roots were rather waterlogged).

    Hi Overgrowth. They look very much like Viburnum davidii, so you are right image

    As it grows into quite a large shrub, I would say there is barely room for one in that bit of border and it would benefit fom being nearer the back.  So in one way the loss of of the other does not matter much, if you are unable to save it.

    However, as you need a male and a female to get the rather attractive berries, that may be why there are two. Not sure how you find out which you've got, as even some suppliers do not differentiate!
