It is a weed isn't it?

Just dug loads of single bits of this out, all over the place.

But then came across it as a huge clump so thought Id better double check with you guys that it is in fact a weed and not something Ive planted?

    Looks like one of the willow herbs to me ............. they turn into huge clumps overnight image

  • Yep, willowherb, broad leafed willowherb, I think, from what I can see. In many of my pots at the moment, just waiting to sneak a flower stem up hoping I don't notice

    Definitely, have just pulled out a wheel barrow's full from my boggy border and am now very muddy and damp. At least the boggy border is behaving as it should.

    I think it was Christopher Lloyd who said that the 'hired help' (not his term, but can't remember exactly!) always left willow herb seedlings as they look preciousimage
