It is a weed isn't it?

MrsGardenMrsGarden Posts: 3,951

Just dug loads of single bits of this out, all over the place.

But then came across it as a huge clump so thought Id better double check with you guys that it is in fact a weed and not something Ive planted?

Thank you.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Yep, willowherb, broad leafed willowherb, I think, from what I can see. In many of my pots at the moment, just waiting to sneak a flower stem up hoping I don't notice

Definitely, have just pulled out a wheel barrow's full from my boggy border and am now very muddy and damp. At least the boggy border is behaving as it should.

How can you lie there and think of England

I think it was Christopher Lloyd who said that the 'hired help' (not his term, but can't remember exactly!) always left willow herb seedlings as they look preciousimage
