Rhododendron leaves turning brown

HI  Can anyone help me with a problem I am having , a well established Rhododendron Fragrantissimum has started to develop brown leaves from the tip half way up , every leaf seems to be affected with it.

    might be Phytophthora? it really likes to kill Rhodies, you need to find out if it is as its highly infectious and all the material will need removing and burning

    Yes I did mulch using old compost from greenhouse , could I dig up and replace soil in bed do you think?
