amberspyamberspy Posts: 379

Hi guys

well that's fence painted and just dig the back garden borders out as builder has finished the patio

now I've no room to grow from seeds so we have saved money to buy bigger sized plants maybe 2 litre pot size aware we need a lot

now as I do buy lot stuff online I've never brought plants online as bit wary but not sure why and no idea if local garden centre have all plants in store so wondering were you get plants online and if crocus online is any good aware they slightly more expensive thou

  • the crocus site is linked to the RHS site. RHS is really good for online sales and I'd imagine crocus is too. I've bought loads of plants online and have never had a problem.

Buckingham Nurseries are good for shrubs and trees.

Avon Bulbs,  Burncoose Nursery,  Binnies Plants,  Ashwoods,  Long Acer Plants for Shade.

  • My first choice is always the local garden centres.  You can see what you are buying, ask for help from knowledgeable staff, and if you don't like what you see visit a different centre.  Yes, you may pay a bit more, but it is worth the extra to be able to choose which plants are worth buying and which are not so good.

Joining a garden club or getting friendly with a gardening neighbour often results in some cuttings, or plant swaps which is a cheap way to add to your collection amberspy.  Good Luck

I've been really pleased with them Sandra, excellent service & top notch quality. If you are ever in the Surrey/Berkshire area, definitely give it a visit. They were voted the best GC in the country 2013. It's massive there, the variety is astonishing! 9cm's are also very, very cheap.

Verd: I've ordered Agastache black adder and it's been requested from the supplier, I haven't even got my grasp on it yet and I want more! Orange and yellows next I'm thinking image
