Penstemon cuttings now?

Pete.8Pete.8 Billericay, EssexPosts: 8,523

Sarah Raven has just delivered some plants (not personally of course) including some lovely penstemons in 2L pots.

They're already a mass of shoots and it's so tempting to take cuttings - would they strike at this time of year?

I can just about squeeze a couple more pots in the propagator

Thanks

    Yeah! thanks verd image

I can easily get 5-6 from each plant leaving lots of good shoots left - very good, strong plants

They only just arrived, so I'll leave it till the morning so they can catch their breath before I start hacking them about

When you take the cuttings are you going to put them in a greenhouse or leave outside? I've never managed to get any to take yet and have some I can cut.
