Plant ID please?

I bought this about 4 years ago for 50p on the dead trolley in the local GC because I like the leaf. It was unlabelled. Can anyone tell me what it is? It's never shown any inclination to flower, appears to be completely hardy. I need to tidy up the old yellow leaves 
but hopefully you can see the silvery new leaves in the centre.

Half my garden's come from the dead trolley. Some survive, a few don't but it's worth the gamble a lot of the time
