white rabbits white rabbits white rabbits and all that stuff!
well done Clari
Now - is March coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb ... or the other way around ?
Happy March Day everyone.
Forgot it was March...the lack of sleep must be affecting my brain. That's my excuse anyway
Morning all - afties again Pat
Looking chilly outside again. Frosty. Hopefully a little sun will appear. Not sure if that's lion or lamb Dove...
I suppose I'd better get off my rump and start cooking dinner. Hubby is dozing on the lounge. HRH is as well. Trying to watch thevevening news, but all I'm getting is trump stuff. Creep!
i picked a few little zucchinis this afternoon, so I guess they'll be part of the meal. Meat and three vegs. Steak, potato, carrots and Zucchini. I might also make some gravy to go with it.
By the by. Have you heard that Bob Harper from US Biggest Loser had had a heart attack (at 51). I assume there'll now be lots of speculation about heavy exercise and health.
Oh Pat you're making my breakfast cereal feel rather lacking. I'm just looking at receipes for Welsh Cakes as a potential evening treat.
It was sunny earlier, with a light frost. It's now looking grey but dry. Haven't spotted any lambs or lions though.
I must admit that the odour of onions cooking in oil is making me a bit more eager to get the dinner moving along a bit further. Even Hubby and HRH have stirred. . Magic.
what are Welsh cakes Clari? Excuse my ignorance.
Im looking forward to Master Chef the Professionals which is starting this week. (UK).
Morning all! Help yourselves to a Welsh Cake.

Sitting in bed just now and we watched a heron fly past!
Oooh thanks Aunty Rach
How did that happen ? I didn't press Edit
Thanks AuntyR. That'll keep me going. I was just commenting yesterday at work, when we were discussing pancakes and scones, that Welsh cakes are also lovely
I see the camping issue on Loch Lomond has made the national news this morning. If the a***holes who trash every place they visit ( and often their own immediate surroundings as well ) were caught and properly punished, there wouldn't be a problem. Sadly they'll just go elsewhere - like beautiful Glen Etive, which now seems to be full of them. As usual, the scummy element of society ruins it for all the responsible, decent people.
On the plus side - at least the reporters could see the other side of the loch as it's clear and bright!
Rant over. Apologies for tainting your day Wales
Better go and organise myself and get the car to the garage. Hope it's not expensive...sigh
Have a good day all whatever you're up to
Morning all, evening Pat,
Dove, sounds like you. had a lovely day yesterday! I'm glad, you were due one!
More gardening today. Started a job yesterday. Taking a small terrace back garden back to scratch and deweeding, leveling etc..... More of the same today. Very friendly robin kept us company clearing up any worms that showed their heads!
Hope everyone has a good day
The cuppa and Noodle did the trick. Asleep just after 3.30 ish.
On a plus note, the lovely woodchip guys dropped me off 3 loads yesterday.. HURRAH.
Morning all. Happy Saint David's Day.
Grey and drizzling here. February went out like a lion, March looks depressing so far but next week the forecast here is good just when we are going to Norfolk, so I hope it's good there too.
Going to the SM and lunching at the Wok place.
OH said I never give him a chance to do pinch punch, so this morning I lay in bed watching Breakfast TV and lovely photos of Loch Lomond, waiting for him. Eventually Louise Minchin mentioned pinch punch, he got the message and looked very pleased with himself!
A wet start to the month so it can only improve.
Fairy, the local 'Oban Times' printed pics of the rubbish left at Glen Etive along with fly-tipped large articles. Deliberate trips to dump there
Busy, you deserve some calm weather after a few storms and the resulting damage.
Morning all, where are the weeks going! ?
Have a lovely day?
Morning - white rabbits and all that.
Sad to see the new regs being introduced for wild camping in parts of Scotland. We've wild camped in our camper van but always pick somewhere discreet so we're not a blot on the landscape (forest car parks are ideal). We take nothing from the area except fresh air and leave nothing behind except the odd tyre track. We don't even put rubbish in the litter bins as it's easy for us to take it to bigger waste disposal facilities.
The minority of campers who are anti-social muppets who think it's ok to party under the stars, break down trees to make fires and leave litter behind want stringing up IMO
Welsh cakes -
Only 19 days to Spring Equinox hears to increasing light & warmth!
That is a weight off my mind, had a hair cut not that I needed one I was only sitting on it not standing on it. Glorious sunny day, much warmer and the Bulbs are showing some life at last.
Love Welsh Cakes, Scotch Pancakes and for Pancake Tuesday had Toad in the Hole, well it is pancake mix after all.
So they are cracking down on fly camping, it probably just got back to normal after we blew big holes in the area during explosive training, don't know about people paying to fly round the Moon, we sent a few trees in that direction.
