Has anybody got any useful tip on growing mango from seed.

    I'd suggest checking on google , or you tube Abdul. If only we could grow mangoes here.

    I have just started 3 seed off, 2 have started to show signs of germination. I will keep everyone up todate on there progress.

    I do live in the UK, Midlands.

    You can grow them as houseplants for a few years until they get too big and can then either cut them back and hope for new growth or start off new ones.  As others have said, they have no chance of survival outside in the UK.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    You can practically grow mango from a bone at home, but the tree will not bloom and bear fruit like in a tropical environment.
    This is a very moisture-loving plant, in addition to the warm climate for the plant, appropriate drainage of the soil is needed.
    Mango starts to bear fruit to 10 years of flowering, so think about whether there is any meaning at all.

    Hi all,

    I have just potted my 3 mango seeds, I am currently building a outdoor room for my mango to live in during the winter months. It should stay around 25 to 30 degrees in there.

    You can get the mango free  to fruit after 4 years. They just need to be about 8 felt tall.

    I am just starting to germinate 4 more seeds.

    Will keep everyone up todate.

    ALWAYS TRYING TO GROW THINGS THAT DON'T WANT TO GROW AND THROWING AWAY THINGS THAT FLOURISH.

    WHY DO WE NEVER SAY "TAKE A LOOK AT MY MAGNIFICENT DANDELIONS"? I BET SOMEWHERE IN THE SAHARA THERE'S A BLOKE DESPERATELY TRYING TO GET DANDELIONS TO GROW.
