I am trying to find an asparagus plant Perennial & hardy. I do not want it as a vegetable but for it to grow into the feathery  fern. I have been informed that it could be Mary Washington but they have both Male & Female plants. The Male plant has yellow/white flowers & the Female has smaller flowers which form red berries.It must be a Male plant I need as my Fathers plant never had red berries on it.

I also have pets

If this is correct where can I buy one of these plants from and how do I tell if it is a Male or Female.
