Baby Oak Tree Inside

We're amature gardeners trying to sprout an oak tree on our window cool before finding a home for him outside. He was doing quite well, apart from quite a bit of stretching for light, but now his leaves are going brown. Any tips?

It's winter, oak leaves go brown for winter then fall off. If needs to be outside asap before the new leaves start growing.

  • Thanks NutCutlet,  It already dropped it's leaves in September last year and I believe these to be it's summer leafs :(  I'm assuming we should get it outside ASAP in a proper pot with drainage.  We're in the UK so it's cold ish (5'c to 20'c) outside.  Do you think we need tacclimatizese it or will it be ok going straight out?

Not so good if it's lost last summer's leaves and the new ones have gone brown. I'd put it out anyway but could be terminal.

Native UK plants don't do well indoors
