Has Trump completely lost the plot?
Seeing him ranting on yesterday that the problem wasn't that his National Security Advisor had lied, but that the fact of him lying had been made public, made me question (even more than previously) just how capable he is of doing the job.
He comes from a background of always being able to get his own way, and never having to consider the opinion of anybody else. That might have made him lots of money, but doesn't make for a successful or effective politician.

SPEAKING FROM A WOMAN'S PERSPECTIVE, IT SOUNDS LIKE AN AWFUL LOT OF MEN HOLDING THE REINS OF POWER IN ALMOST ANY ASPECT OF LIFE.......... DISCUSS.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
I don't think my OH would agree with that Pansy
When you don't even know who's in the team
S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
The only reins of power I've ever held were taking a 2-year-old to the shops, and even then I'm not sure I was the one in control.
Ha! I put reins on Possum, aged 18 months, to stop her wandering off in a shopping centre in England and she hit the roof. Her one and only toddler tantrum. Went to a pet shop and bought an extendable lead and she held the business end while daddy held the dog end. perfect solution.
Sometimes you have to think laterally - not a skill given to many politicians, especially of the male persuasion.
And yes, he's too old to be having tantrums about not getting his way or people being found out telling lies.

"We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing." - George Bernard Shaw
I've met quite a lot of those. Some were sort of self aware. One man I worked for advised me confidentially that he would never promote an unmarried man beyond middle management because, not being married, he would have insufficient ability to compromise.
The implicit prejudices against all sorts of sections of society were, I think, entirely lost on him but he had a vague grasp that there was SOMETHING there he ought to recognise.
Actually Trump reminds me of that chap in quite a number of ways.
Do we really want to turn such a nice gardening site into a site for political attacks?
OK, so who the bigger liar, the Clintons, or that General who resigned?
Everybody step back and mind your own back yards, let America do it's own thing.
"It's going to be great, and everybody knows it" Trump
lol
WHADDAYA MEAN IT'S A NICE GARDENING SITE?
FALSE NEWS.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
The potting shed is an area for non gardening discussion. You don't have to join in and the title of the topic gives a pretty idea of what to expect inside it.
If what America did only affected America maybe it could be ignored.
"FALSE NEWS" ? Do you mean fake news? lol
So it was stated at the beginning that Trump grew up always getting his own way and he never has considers others opinions.
That's fake news and utter rubbish. I betcha the poster has no proof of the President's dead parents bad parenting. We do know that growing up, the President spent much of his free time with his father at his construction sites. When I came back to the city I joined the family business and spent my working days on construction sites swinging furnaces and putting up duct work. So let me tell you something, you can't have a money making construction company if you don't take the advise of your crews from all the different trades you hire. That is a fact. You can't be a deal maker, which is what Trump has been doing for fifty years, and not consider other opinions, in other words, not make a deal.
I was outraged at Trump's disgusting words about women on that tape. But I spent years on construction sites, I've heard the likes before, over and over and over and over. The first thing that popped into my mind was, oh ya, no denying he grew up on construction sites.
I cringed at the foul conversations I had to hear. My dad was a preacher before I was adopted, he was a Bible college teacher. Mom told me that dad didn't kiss her until they were engaged. No smoking, swearing, strong drink, no sex before marriage and on and on. My high school days were in a Christian school wear rules were strict and enforced. Dad was an example of how you can befriend and work with people that talk like construction crews.
In my own experience knowing guys with dirty mouths and minds, most are all mouth, and are trying to come off in front of other guys as a magnet for the ladies, a stud. 99 percent of it is nothing but BS. I also noted that when these guys get girlfriends, most act the exact opposite and are quite happy to have their girlfriend wear the pants in the relationship.
I'm all for women in positions of power, but that doesn't mean I would vote for a women that feels she is entitled to the job she seeks. I noted how the Democratic Party conspired(email leaks) against Bernie. I noted how Clinton's lies were dismissed by most on the left.
I also noted the outrage from Republicans that and outsider was running to be on the Republican ticket.
Anyways, full disclosure, I wanted Jeb to be President. But I'm just a Canadian with Yankee cousins all over the USA.
Oh, and another full disclosure, I'm no angel, I was a party animal for twenty years.
Party animals welcome for sure Johnny!
