Name this plant ?

I saw this plant grown on a hotel garden in the south of India last week, the leaves where like agapanthus and had tall flower spikes the unusual spidery like pure white flowers had an amazing rich fragrance, I tried to ask in the hotel what it was but they had no idea what the plant is or what i was trying to ask them.

basically it's agapanthus like apart from the spidery lacy flower and super fragrance.

i should have taken a photo but were on out way out the door and one of the last to leave and even the lights were being turned off  (10:30pm)

    If you cannot find it under Hymenocallis try its other name Ismene.
