Unidentified plant

Ive noticed these two growing all alone - no others in the garden so it sure if it's something I planted (don't remember) or something a bird 'planted'.

Any ideas?

    Poppies?

    Ah ok thanks - I did sow poppies there last year so obviously missed one before it seeded :-).

    Poppy seeds can last decades in the soil so they could be some of the original seeds which only decided to germinate last autumn.  That is probably the best time to sow them as it is when the plants naturally drop their seed. image
