Has anyone eaten Hosta leaves before?

Just read somewhere that they are edible, have any of you tried it? Is it worth trying or are they just horrible?

  • They are, apparently, good eating raw, as slugs will tell you, but I'd rather keep mine for viewing

  • At lest,Hosta is eatable.In Japan,you can buy them(called ‘うるい’) in the supermarket at times.Local people love eating tender leaves of Hosta.But I never try
