Hello again,

Can anyone help me with these, found today in my garden?

1. Small grass, it's been around a while, popping up here and there. Doesn't do much but it would be nice to know what it is.

2. Another grass, I think. Similar in proportions to no. 1 but I'm pretty sure it's not the same - this one has sort of hairy bits coming off the edges of the leaves. Never seen it in my garden before.

3. Self-seeded something or other. It looks really familiar but I can't for the life of me think what it is. Someone put me out of my misery!

Thank you

The bottom one looks like ammi majus, I've got some growing in my cold frame at the moment. The bees love it and it's great mixed in among flowers.

Yes! Ammi majus, thank you! I had some nearby last year and they went to seed. I *knew* I recognised it. It was driving me mad.

The first one is definitely a grass, and having looked at Nutcutlet's suggestion for no. 2, I think no. 1 might also be a woodrush, as it has similar flowers. Neither are crocuses as I have some of them and these are quite different. Rhodohypoxis would be nice for no. 2 but I don't think so. However, it has appeared from nowhere so we shall see.

    Thanks all.

No. 1 looks like a small sedge, possibly Wood Sedge, Carex sylvatica.
