When would be the best time to take a cutting off a climbing rose .

    DEPENDS IF YOU LIVE SOMEWHERE COLD. SNOW PREDICTED HERE. IN MY CASE I WOULD WAIT UNTIL THE FIRST CUCKOO OF SPRING.

    Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.

    If they need pruning I would take a hardwood cutting or two nown.  Could then take more later on in the year if you're willing to wait :)
