Holly Blue Angel pollinator

l've just bought a Holly Blue Angel and have heard that it won't have berries without a male pollinating holly nearby. Does it have to be one of the 'Blue' ones like Blue Prince or would any variety be ok?

Any male holly that is in flower at the same time (and that is most of them) will do the job.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Don't get Golden King, which is a female form! Silver Queen is male though!
