what is eating my Christmas cards?

I had bought in my potted Christmas tree in from the garden into the conservatory and put all the presents and cards around it as you do. However I now find that cards and wrapping paper has been nibbled in the night and the situation is getting worse. We have looked for a mouse in the conservatory but have found no trace.image

What on earth is the problem? Please someone help!

Check around the pot rim and base for lurking slugs image

I'd say snails. I've seen what they do to paper. image

Nothing there to attract a mouse and if no droppings, no mouse

Hazel, have done that! HopeI haven't bought the little beasties into the main house!!

Thank you for you suggestions everyone. Perhaps the tree should go outside again.

True Nut no droppings and no other signs of a mouse.image

It might be the only time I'd use a slug pellet. Nothing else would be affected

  • If it was slugs, wouldn't it have left slim on them and a trail.image

  • Doubt that those markings are from slugs/snails, DEFINATELY looks like Meeces to me ??
