I am hoping someone will know
THE PICTURE IS A BIT BLURRED BUT IT LOOKS LIKE A RATHER UNHAPPY KALMIA.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
I have just found it. Its a daphne odora maejima
It's a Euonymus fortuneii cultivar.

they don't look like daphne stems or leaves to me. They look like euonymus, though I might be wrong with the fortuneii, could be a E. japonicus
Maejima has its variegation at the edge as does aureomarginata, this has it as a splurge down the middle
An in focus look at one of the berries would tell for sure but they look like spindle berries to me

Could it be one of the azaleas ?
I have a varigated one, it's never flowered and looks about that size?
A A Milne
I agree, it's euonymous, it even has a couple of berries in that striking pink. Daphne shouldn't be in flower yet and I haven't seen any with variegation like that, either. It looks like it needs some TLC.
Do you think fortuneii or japonicus, Posy?

My knowledge doesn't go that far, Nut!
