CUCUMBER CULTIVATION IN SOILLESS - PROBLEM

Hi,

We are cultivating Seedless Cucumbers in Cocopeat Growbags under polyhouses as the soil is heavily infested with root knot nematodes.

We had noticed that our plants have started increasingly showing abnormal growth (it is increasing/spreading), photos attached. We are noticing that the leaves become dark green and start bunching on top together. we have tried treating with excess boron and micro-nutrients, but the problem is spreading.

we have shown it to local experts bimageimageimageimageimageut they have been unable to identify the issue. Can someone advise as to whether the issue is nutrient problem or some disease??image

HELLO, MANY PEOPLE HERE ARE IN UK AND HAVE NOTHING SUCH AS CUCUMBERS GROWING JUST NOW!

YOU DON'T SAY WHERE YOU LIVE SO IT IS DIFFICULT TO IMAGINE WHAT THE CONDITIONS ARE LIKE FOR YOUR PLANTS.

HOWEVER, SOME YEARS AGO WE HAD A PROBLEMM WITH PESTICIDES CONTAMINATING FARMYARD  MANURE WHICH WAS THEN USED TO NOURISH PLANTS. IT DID A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF DAMAGE..

THIS PROBLEM WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED BUT THIS YEAR SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED THAT COMMERCIAL GROWBAGS HAVE PRODUCED DEFORMED PLANTS. SO MAYBE SOMETHING HAS REOCCURRED. MAYBE SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO YOU.

HERE IS A TYPICAL EXAMPLE, THIS TIME FROM THE USA.

YOU CAN SEE THAT IT IS AN OLD ARTICLE.

Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
