Hi, haven't posted on here for quite a while. I've missed it and I hope everyone's well and looking forward to Xmas.

I regularly post pictures of my flowers and garden on my Facebook page for others to appreciate and today a friend contacted me saying he wanted to purchase one of the images as a gift for his wife.

It's one of my beautiful dahlias and I'm hoping that one of the more informed members here will have enough knowledge of dahlias to identify this one for me. I can then pass that info on to my friend.

As you can see from the photo's, when it first comes into flower it has a pink and yellow centre and the mature flower is pure white.

Have a look on sarah ravens website, you may see your dahlia on there? ;)

  • Looks similar to some of mine soulboy although mine stay Pink..(with the yellow), It's a cactus dahlia but like you, mine came with no name so hope someone comes up with the name for us both but there are hundreds of them....stunning pictures ?

Thanks for the responses. I think I've found the answer. I'm pretty sure it's a cultivar called 'shooting star'.

Hi Clarice, than you for the comments about my photo's. I take hundreds of pictures of the flowers, plants and insects in the garden every year. it's great that mobile cameras are such good quality, generally speaking.
