Hi everyone, i got some bare root plants recently :)

i was wondering, which is better? planting these direct in the ground or in a planting in a pot and then putting in the shed and planting in spring etc?

many thanks!

PROVIDING THE GROUND ISN'T FROZEN, I WOULD GO FOR PUTTING THEM IN THE GROUND EVERY TIME.

IF THE EXACT POSITION ISN'T READY YOU CAN ALWAYS "HEEL THEM IN" AND REPLANT IN THE SPRING.

Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.

I always pot mine up first, but thats because I like to see them come up, and know exactly where to look in a potimage

Tiny and dried out. Pot them up, water them in and protect them til spring
