    A nice selection of visitors B3.  I haven't seen many goldfinches yet this year which is surprising since we've had a constant frost for almost 1 week now here in Edinburgh.   There must still be plenty of food elsewhere for them.

    Re weather predictions - It's my theory that they predict a bad winter just to say 'we told you so' afterwards.

    A woodpecker made a nesting hole in my old apple tree  but it was never used because she was,disturbed when we had our fence done. The blue tits investigate it sometimes but. I don't think they've used it either.

    In London. Keen but lazy.
