can anybody be kind enough to let me know if it is safe to move laurel bushes at this time of year without harming them .i have been growing them in a neighbours garden and wish to move them into mine now ,they are between six months and a year old.

  • It's as good a time as any.  The most important thing is to keep as much of the root intact as you can.  Then don't drown it trying to make sure it doesn't dry out!

  • I agree with Bob - go ahead if the planting site is ready - they shouldn't need much if any water if your soil is like ours at the moment.

If your soil is really sodden I'd leave them where they are until it's a bit drier.
