Spring bulbs sprouting in November
in Plants
I planted up some pots of spring bulbs for the first time this year. I've got some crocus 'snowbunting' and some narcissi 'cheerfulness' layered in the same pots. I planted them on 1 October and I noticed today (13 Nov) that they've already sent up small shoots. Help! Is it too early and will they still manage to flower in spring?

Yes definitely you'll always get them poking up a long while before but the flowers will be here in Spring.
They'll slow down as the weather gets colder, so don't worry
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Phew! That's a relief. Thank you!

Will my bellis flower in the Spring too? I lost most of the ones I planted outside (grown from seed) last year - so this year they're in pots, outside but sheltered. They are flowering profusely - which is great. But hopefully they'll put on a good display when I plant them out in the Spring? I suspect it was the wet conditions rather than the cold that finished them off last year.
