Strawberrys and leeks?!

two questions....

1st, i have a few strawberry plants in a raised bed which is covered in weed matting so there planted up through it, do i need to do anything to these over winter? Ie protect or cut back or anything?

2nd, i planted a few winter veg around a month ago, cabbage, onions, kale and leeks and with the leeks i dig little trench or "drills" i think there called placed the little leek in and then firmed all the soil back around them. I have since learnt that i should have just made a little hole for the leek and just filled it with water. Will what i have done majorly effect the leeks and if so is there anything i can do now to help them?

all advice is most helpful and greatly appreciated

Are you in the U.K.? Don't think those veg will grow at all during the winter here.

I agree with hogweed. These would all be planted in the Spring (March - April) here in the UK.
