When to cut back Grasses?

Hi,

I have a couple of large Grasses that are taking over my borders. I am wondering when is the earliest I can cut these back hard? They are blocking some nice plants and I'd like to tackle them asap.imageimage

    Thanks Verdun. Can I give them a light clipping anytime soon?

    I wouldn't: when the frost comes and all your other plants die down the grasses will continue to look good. In fact, they will look spectacular. If wind and rain spoil them and make them flat and soggy you can cut off the damaged bits but otherwise, just enjoy them and wait for spring.
