Hardy geraniums

Do all hardy geraniums have that horrible smell when you touch them? Can you get any that don't??

    Never noticed a smell from hardy geraniums.  I don't like the smell of pelargoniums though, some people over winter them in the house.  Couldn't do that the smell is horrible.

    You may be thinking of herb Robert, one of our native Geraniums, which does stink.

    There are ashtrays of emulsion,
    for the fag ends of the aristocracy.

    Never had a cultivated geranium wihch smells of anything...

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    The Macrorrhizum ones have scented leaves,strong, but I quite like it.

    I am with you on that scent Buttercupdays but I realise it is a 'marmite' type smell i.e. you either like it or hate it.
