I want to grow some wasabi in a shady spot in my back garden. Has anyone got any tips? Can I plant it now or should I wait til spring? How moist does the ground need to be? Will I struggle with slugs attacking it? And, is it easy to propogate or once I eat it, is it gone forever?

Wasabi is extremely difficult to grow as it requires to be grown a little like water cress with water flowing across its roots without being totally submerged. It would not grow successfully in an ordinary garden.
