Rosemary beetle

My sage is full of holes. I found a metallic-looking than a rosemary  beetle but he seemed more of a gold colour and a bit rounder - until I squashed him flat.

Can I ignore it as there's still plenty of useable leaves?

Sadly, yes they do feed on sage and Lavender too.

  • My daughter has a herb bed with rosemary, sage and lavender in close proximity. The rosemary beetles do eat the sage but prefer the lavender. They don't seem interested in the rosemary! She does pick them off when they get excessive but hasn't had too much damage so far.

I'll keep an eye out for them. I'd better check the lavender too.
