Wisteria - unusual flat tendril
in Plants
My Wisteria has suddenly sprouted a very unusual flat tendril, which is very fibrous with small leaves shooting from the sides. I have never seen anything like this before and wondered if there is anyone who could give me an explanation. My husband reckons it's turning into a triffid!!

Yes, fasciation. No worries, cut it off, it's not a disease

What would happen if I left it, must admit it's rather a fascinating fasciation.
nothing
It's an aberration caused by some sort of damage to the growing tip.
We had a thread called Fascinating Fasciation, have a search for it
