What is this...?

Hi all, can anyone advise what this plant is and what conditions it needs please.  I have recently moved it indoors and am keeping it in a light area, but not direct sunlight.  It is growing well but not sure what it is.

Many thanks for your help.

I bought one from Parkers many yrs ago. It survived in a little pot outside for about 5-6 years, it never grew and I gave up on it

Many, many years ago I used to grow Sensitive Plants (mimosa pudica) - also a mimosa and similar looking, and very easy to grow from seed.

If you touch the leaves they immediately fold-up and droop down - quite fascinating.

Good luck with your little tree

  • Hi there Pete8, thats what i thought this was because it looked so very similar, i looked up the tree and now find it's a really nice attractive tree with fabulous flowers also called Persian silk tree not that i think it will grow large enough to flower in a pot but one can only wish.

                                                 Thanks again Tony.
