Strange caterpillar

I have found this strange looking caterpillar in my garden does anybody know if it's a moth or butterfly the kids love it?

It is one of the geometrid ("Earth measurer") moths. Not sure which species.
Look at Brimstone moth, or, if it's longer than that, perhaps the oak beauty.
