Couple of IDs please

Nothing that I've planted but have been pulling these up all over the garden for weeks now (if not months) so thought I'd ask if anyone can identify please?

I think the top one is a form of sedge, the bottom one is a foxglove.

I should think the sedge is Carex pendula. Attractive but not for most gardens, too huge and invasive. I have a clump that takes up a circle 6' across and the flowering spikes are taller than me

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • Wow I'll keep getting rid of the sedge then.  Guess I'll leave the foxgloves for now :-)

    Many thanks.
