hey, i've got a nice shrub in the garden... any ideas as to what it might be?
it's about 1m x 1m and has pink umbrella spread flowers in the summer
Looks like spiraea 'Anthony Waterer' to me.
Spiraea japonica cultivar, but which one I can't tell. Cut it hard back (a few inches, believe it or not) in late February ish and let the new growth race away. It looks as though it'll be one of the golden leafed cultivars, Golden Princess, Little Princess, Goldmound.
great, thanks for that!
i'm going to try and propagate from a cutting next summer : )
