Hi
Please could anyone ID this - tall, perennial, looks a bit like a Rudbeckia although no black spot!
Many thanks

Perhaps a helianthus cultivar?

I should think so H-C
In the sticks near Peterborough
Leaves look helianthus-like
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Probably not Lemon Queen though - the flowers are a brighter colour than LQ.
very pretty ?
I agree, one of the perennial Helianthus but not 'Lemon Queen'. I like these a lot but they can spread quite vigorously by rhizomes.
They do spread vigorously - my small clump was well-behaved for two tears and then wham there were yellow flowers everywhere! I now dig up lots of new rhizomes every June to keep the clump in the space I have. I also plant them up into pots and take them to the village fete for sale. They are always popular.
OK - many thanks all, that's great to know it's a Helianthus!
